Brian “BGL” Garcia-Larson is a Mental Performance Coach, speaker, and founder of the BGL Elite Performance System. Drawing from lived experience, athletic competition, entrepreneurship, and community leadership, Brian challenges athletes, coaches, and organizations to take ownership, raise their standard, and perform with purpose.
Brian’s message was shaped by adversity, responsibility, failure, and the decision to keep moving forward. He does not teach from theory—he teaches from a life he has lived.
As a former four-sport athlete, Brian understands competition, pressure, preparation, and the discipline required to pursue excellence.
Through coaching, speaking, mentorship, and community service, Brian helps people build stronger lives, stronger teams, and a standard that lasts.
At 16, Brian was a high school sophomore, a father, married, and emancipated. He lived in government housing, received food assistance, and worked for $3.25 an hour washing dishes while learning how to support a family and take responsibility for his future.
His journey has included success, failure, financial setbacks, rebuilding, and starting over. Every season taught him that adversity does not have to define your future—it can develop the mindset, discipline, and resilience required to change it.
Those lessons became the foundation of Brian’s message and his commitment to helping athletes and leaders take ownership, move forward, and Go Be Great.

Brian believes leadership is not defined by a title—it is demonstrated through service, responsibility, and the impact you make on others.
His commitment to the community includes founding the BGL Go Be Great Foundation, serving as a Fiesta Bowl Committee member, chairing the Chandler Rotary Track Meet, serving on the Chandler/Gilbert YMCA Advisory Board, and being recognized as one of the 2022 Men of Chandler.
These experiences continue to shape how Brian leads, coaches, and challenges others to build something greater than themselves.
